You’ll learn what workplace mental health first aid is, how to recognise early warning signs and what safe support looks like. The course covers the role and boundaries of a mental health first aider, key communication skills such (as active listening, empathy and non-judgmental approaches), how to support colleagues across stages of need (including return to work and recovery), how to create and use a Wellness Action Plan and how to signpost to internal and external support services.
