Women are celebrated throughout March for their exceptional roles and significant contributions. The month-long celebration aims to promote gender equality and recognise women for their diverse roles and accomplishments across the globe.
In this article, I will discuss the challenges that I had to endure, including inequalities and discrimination. I will also discuss the many struggles women have faced for many years.
My third blog
Having received an overwhelming response to my first blog, I realised that many women needed to hear my story, which led to the creation of my second blog. My goal is for every woman to feel empowered and to be able to stand up for what they believe in.
I am writing this third blog to encourage women to face whatever problems they are experiencing head-on. No matter how difficult the situation may seem, you can overcome it.
I am aware that it is more challenging than it sounds. I was once in your position, but now I have taken simple steps that put me in a better position. It took me some time to realise that women must be empowered to:
- Have a purpose
- Believe in what they are doing
- Build self-confidence and raise self-esteem
- Encourage and inspire others
- Motivate others to advance in their careers
- Speak up freely
- Promote gender equality and fairness.
Societal inequality for women
Women's month is a global celebration of women's achievements, contributions, and potential. Unfortunately, many women continue to face issues, such as:
- Gender discrimination
- Harassment
- Lack of access to basic education
- Lack of opportunities to earn or lead
- Inequality and concerns around work-life balance.
