My chocolate Christmas bake-off adventure!

*Hey everyone, it’s Jaden here again! 🍪🎄*
Guess what? It was the best week ever, and I even got to compete in our School Bake Off! I was so excited to bake and use all the flour, sugar, and chocolate I could get my hands on. It was a crazy adventure, and I want to tell you about it!

Choosing my category - A sweet decision
We had three categories to choose from:
- Christmas Showstoppe
- Mince Pies
- Chocolate Christmas Bakes.
I picked the Chocolate Christmas Bakes because chocolate is too good to resist! It was the most awesome (and delicious) decision I made!
The recipe rollercoaster
Choosing what to bake was all sorts of exciting! At first, I wanted to make sponge cupcakes, but we had a problem with the recipe. So, with the help of my awesome mom, we came up with a cool idea: cookie dough-topped brownies! And guess what? I had some special ingredients, like caramel dark chocolate, homemade icing, and a lot of love!

Baking time - Master baker mode on!
Mixing stuff, pouring it in, and baking - I did everything and felt like the best baker ever! It was hard, but it was cool to see my brownies turn out perfectly. I was super excited to show them off at the Bake Off!
The big day - A festival of bakes
At 2 pm, the canteen turned into a super cool baking place with long tables full of yummy food. I asked my parents to come, and they were really happy to be there. It smelled so sweet and good, like walking into a dream full of treats!

Judging time -Tasting success
The judges walked around, trying out and looking at everyone's baking. I didn't get a prize, but just being there was like winning. People liked my brownies, and I got to try some super cool stuff my friends made. It was awesome seeing all the hard work and neat ideas everyone had.
More than just baking
This wasn't only about baking; I learned about planning, budgeting, and how to show off my brownies. Putting them in the canteen, seeing how everyone liked them, and having our families cheering for us was amazing.

Looking forward - Eyeing the next award
I'm super excited for the next Bake Off already. Maybe next time, I might even win a cool prize! But whether I win or not, I'm having a blast with all this baking journey.
