Hey everyone! It's Jaden here, and I just have to tell you about this super cool thing I did with my mates – Laser Quest!

Tech marvel - Futuristic suits & raspberry pi targets

So, we rocked up to this place, right? And they gave us these rad suits which were like, straight out of a sci-fi movie! They had these pouches that were like targets, made with Raspberry Pi. Yeah, you heard that right – Raspberry Pi, like the mini-computer! It was like being in a video game but in real life!

Alien vs. human - Epic laser tag battle

We split into teams – I was an alien (cool, huh?) and we had to battle against the humans. Our mission as aliens was to find the humans' base. The humans had to do the same. Imagine us sneaking around, laser guns in hand, trying to outsmart each other. It was epic!

Our guns were so awesome – you press this power button and it makes this shooting sound and a blue light flashes. If you hit the target right, after like 10 clicks, an alarm goes off and BAM! You score big points! And guess what? I won both games! Go, Team Alien!

But hey, it wasn't all smooth sailing. We weren't allowed to run super fast, which was a bummer. But that didn't stop the fun! We even had to team up with some other players since our group was a bit small. There was this one big kid, maybe a teenager, who joined us, and it was pretty cool playing with someone older.

Irish kids conquered - Victory achieved

The second game was against these Irish kids. They were tough, but guess what? We still won! I had a bit of a headache afterwards – maybe from all the excitement and hiding and seeking.

Feasts & friendship - Fueling up after the fun

Then, after all that running around, we grabbed some food. I had chicken nuggets, but they weren't the best. Still, the best part was just hanging out with my friends away from screens and just being active. I think I should do this like once or twice a week. It’s a great break from school and stuff.

Bowling strikes and spares

Bowling strikes and spares Oh, and guess what else I did? Bowling! I love bowling, maybe even more than Laser Quest. I'm all about the sliding technique and scoring spares. I racked up some serious points!

Dad asked if I'd write a blog about Laser Quest. At first, I was like, hmm, maybe? But now I think it's a cool idea! Not everyone knows about Laser Quest, so I could tell them how it works, how many players you need, and all the fun stuff about it.

Living life to the fullest - Adventures in laser quest

Life’s pretty interesting, right? We have so many fun things to do, and I'm just soaking it all in. Like Dad says, our lives are unique and different, and I think that's pretty cool. So, that's my story of Laser Quest and hanging out with my friends.
