Safeguarding Children for Homecare - Level 2 - Online Training Course.

Welcome to The Mandatory Training Group's Safeguarding Children for Homecare online course. All our online training courses, programmes and qualifications are accredited by the CPD Certification Service (CPDUK).

This course covers safeguarding children training for homecare workers at Level 2. It was designed to align with the Skills for Care’s Core Mandatory Training Framework and has been specifically tailored to meet the learning needs of employees working with individuals in their own homes and homecare settings.

Providing children and young people with a safe and nurturing environment is essential to their development. No child or young person should be subjected to violence, abuse, neglect, or poor treatment by their parents or anyone else in their care. Those working in health and social care settings have a duty of care to report any concerns regarding a child or young person's welfare or suspicions of abusive behaviour.

Indicative course duration varies depending on the course level, ranging from 30 minutes for awareness courses to 6 hours for some CPD programmes. Each course overview section will specify the indicative course duration.
See the course duration guide below:

                                • Level 1 (Awareness) - 30-60 minutes
                                • Level 2 (Intermediate) - 60-90 minutes
                                • Level 3 and above (Advanced) - 90-240 minutes.

NB: Some specialist continuing professional development (CPD) programmes or packages combine various modules, for example, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, or the Mandatory Training for Nurses package could have 15 modules. Duration may also depend on the learner's prior knowledge of the subject matter.

After completing each online module or training programme and achieving the required pass mark in the end-of-course assessment, you will be able to download a CPD certificate (PDF).
Some courses may have a completion certificate without an end-of-course assessment; this will be specified in the course overview section.

Where applicable, the course CPD points/hours are specified in each course's overview section.
Course points/hours will vary depending on the prior knowledge of the subject, experience required, course level, assessment(s), and or according to accrediting body specifications.

We offer FREE courses as part of our various promotions/campaigns on topical issues. However, learners will have to pay a small fee if they want to download a CPD certificate at the end because it covers costs for:

                                • Course accreditation (for the CPD certification) Server space to download and store the certificate.
                                • We are required by law to store certificates as part of auditing and quality assurance purposes.

Where applicable, the certificate expiry recommended for every course is specified in the overview section. However, some industries/sectors/organisations determine how often training must be undertaken and the validity period of the certificates.
For example, the Safeguarding Adults Level 3 course has to be refreshed every three years, and some organisations may require their employees to refresh every year while some course certificates do not have an official expiry.

Our CPD training courses are not qualifications but can be used as refresher mandatory and statutory training for already qualified persons to count towards their continuing professional development hours.
Some courses can be used as an introduction and induction training for non-qualified individuals, which entirely depends on the employer's requirements.
