Based from home, working in your geographical region remotely delivering training on the employers’ premises and other dispersed environments.

Roles and responsibilities

Do you fancy working with a forward-thinking and fast-paced clinical training company? We are passionate about improving patient care through our national training programmes. We deliver training to healthcare professionals across various fields including pharmacy, the NHS, private healthcare and primary care.

We are looking for an experienced registered healthcare professional to join our team as a trainer to help provide high-quality training programmes, including resuscitation and other relevant clinical skills. The role is primarily based within the home counties region but with some occasional nationwide travel. Travel and accommodation provided when required.

Your clinical background should include assessing patients, resuscitation, and clinical skills such as injections, cannulation, phlebotomy or 12 Lead ECG recording. This role is ideally suited to a Nurse or Paramedic but other Registered Healthcare Professionals would be considered. Training and support will be available to the successful candidate in addition to our generous CPD programme to help further your career. The ideal candidate would be prepared to undertake training to become a Moving and Handling Trainer as an additional subject.

Also, you must possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To provide training sessions for The Mandatory Training Group’s clients and to support our pool of employed and freelance trainers in ensuring consistency throughout training sessions.
  • To work remotely to support the clinical team with course review and creation etc.
  • To maintain and develop your own professional knowledge and awareness.
  • Accurate completion and prompt submission back to The Mandatory Training Group of all relevant course documentation.
  • To promote The Mandatory Training Group’s products and services.
  • To review and further develop courses according to client need or when changes to legislation or national guidelines occur.
  • To develop course content, activities and assessment.


Personal Skills

  • Must have a clinical qualification and at least 2 years of clinical experience
  • Teaching or assessing qualification is desirable
  • Communicate effectively in a training environment, with other instructors and within the office team.
  • Be proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Good timekeeping and attention to detail.
  • Must have a positive and professional image at all times by acting in a courteous manner.


Essential requirements

Mandatory requirements:

  • Training/teaching and assessing qualification
  • PTLLS/Award in Education and Training (AET) qualification
  • Recognised qualifications in adult health and social care
  • Occupational competency in adult health and social care
  • Current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
  • Experience in the delivery of Ofqual approved qualifications desirable
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
