What is the care certificate for healthcare professionals?

The Care Certificate is a set of standards for health and social care workers to standardise introductory skills, knowledge and behaviours. The goal is to ensure compassionate, safe and high-quality care.

The Care Certificate isn’t mandatory per se, but there is still an expectation. The Care Quality Commission will ensure that whatever the organisation is doing with its training covers the requirements of the Care Certificate.
